The water maintains 13.5 C degrees and it is one of the purest in Japan, one of the most delicious in Kumamoto. They say it has the power of eternal youth. The area is surrounded by 200 years old trees. It is a magical place, green, with pure water flowing and bubbling from the ground. I was there for two hours only...but it felt longer, like time had stopped. Now my memories of that place are in the photographs I took and in my mind, surrounded by a sense of peace and the sweet, comforting silence of nature.
